An encounter on a fog filled afternoon ended with a confusing scoreline as Bingley beat Menston 4-1 despite the away side dominating much of the match.
The absence of defensive pairing Casey and Houghton was always likely to prove costly against a free scoring and clinical Bingley outfit and mix ups at the back led to 2 early goals. Ainsworth neatly put away an excellent Jefferson ball to cut the deficit to 2-1 at half time and Menston put Bingley under pressure for the majority of the second half but couldn't put the ball into the net. A couple of soft goals in the last 15 minutes led to a result that did not reflect the respective abilities of the 2 teams.
