Both teams started the game brightly with Menston having the better share of the chances but went behind from a corner before Joe C finally managed to outpace the defence and beat the keeper with a low shot to draw level. Menston managed to keep up the pressure in the last ten minutes of the half and took a well-deserved lead just before half time when Jed linked up with Joe to fire through a crowd of players into the corner.

In the second half Menston kept up the pressure and Dhugal added to the score before Nab Wood came back with one of their own. Todd fired in a great volley from outside the area to make it 4-2 before Nab Wood started putting on some extra pressure and came back with a goal of their own to make it 4-3. For a while it looked like Nab Wood might get back in the game as they sent more players forward but Daniel, Dhugal and the two James's started to take advantage of the gaps at the back. Daniel and Dhugal linked up with a great break from Daniel and a good cross for a simple tap in. Thomas played a good through ball for James to score with a nice shot and Dhugal managed to run on to a rebounded ball and beat the keeper with a great chip to seal a good win.
