Bolton Woods arrived at Menston as the only unbeaten team in the league; but that record was altered as Rangers took the 3 points in a fairly comfortable win against a physical outfit.
Bolton Woods were another team who had yet to triumph against Rangers in previous seasons and who really fancied there chances of doing so; but a strong first half from Rangers saw them lead only 2-1 after a combination of good saves and charity in front of goal allowed Bolton Woods a chance for the second period.
Two first half goals from Marc A, the first pouncing on a through ball from the outstanding Oscar F and the second reacting to a shot from Harrison T that the keeper fumbled, were the least Rangers deserved in a half where Bolton Woods only enjoyed the odd potent attack.
The goal Bolton Woods did score came from their most potent threat and a tidy finish into the top corner.
The 2nd half began in the same manner with Rangers pressing and playing out from the back; with Bolton Woods taking a more long/direct approach.
Rangers went further ahead when Oscar F capped a fine display with a cracking drive across the keeper from outside the area to take a comfortable lead.
Further good openings and a few gilt edged chances were missed before Bolton Woods again clawed a goal back from the afore mentioned most impressive player.
Rangers moved second in the A league behind Sutton with games in hand after this win.
